Psychological Evaluations
Welcome!
I'm a licensed psychologist specializing in psychoeducational and psychological evaluations for children, in both English and Spanish.
Most families come to me with a question—something they’ve noticed about how their child thinks, learns, or behaves. Maybe school has become a struggle, attention is hard to maintain, or things just don’t seem to “click” the way they should. My job is to help you understand how your child’s brain works, where their strengths lie, and where they might need more support.
I use a variety of tools to explore areas like memory, attention, problem-solving, academic skills, and how your child is doing emotionally and socially—things like mood, anxiety, relationships, and behavior. Together, we build a clear picture of your child’s learning style and needs. From there, I provide concrete, personalized recommendations—whether that’s extra support at school, strategies for home, or referrals for further services.
If you're looking for answers and a plan to help your child thrive, I’m here to help.

About psychological evaluations
What Will You Take Away From an Evaluation?
At the end of the evaluation my intent is that you walk away with a clear path to helping your child succeed in school. You will learn…
About your child’s strengths so these can be leveraged to enhance their learning.
About your child’s cognitive difficulties and how these impact their learning.
About your child’s emotional well-being
Strategies that can help your child in and out of school to improve their academic performance, relationships with you and others, and overall well-being.
Learn about the root causes of academic challenges
Information about how your child views the world
Information about how your child learns best
Concrete recommendations that you can be implemented in the classroom so you may better advocate for your child’s learning.
HELPFUL INFORMATION
What are psychological/psycho-educational testing and assessments?
Psychological testing and assessments are similar to medical tests in that they help explain symptoms and develop a treatment plan that is tailored to the individual’s needs. Children who experience difficulty in school may be referred for psychological testing to identify both their strengths and challenges as it relates to their learning. Psychologists may use different assessment tools to understand a student’s memory functioning, processing of information, cognitive abilities, and overall socio-emotional well-being.
What does the assessment process look like?
All potential clients complete a brief phone screen.
Next, a 60 to 90-minute clinical interview is scheduled to discuss your child’s areas of concern.
Third, a testing session(s) is scheduled during which your child completes various cognitive tasks and assessments as it relates to areas of concern.
Fourth, testing results are interpreted, a report is written, and a one-hour feedback session is scheduled to discuss testing results, recommendations, as well as diagnostic impressions.
